update, update :)

so, I've been playing around with the brush pen, with inspirations from Inoue Takehiko, the guy who wrote Slam Dunk and Vagabond. :) It's um... takes a LOT to get used to... >_> this is the best one that I had...



Let's just say, I have a lot to work on. In other dabblings, I've been watching a lot of Style and Bravo recently, and it's taking an effect. First, lemme post this sketch I did almost a year ago.



Their bodies are quite abstract, and too thin for their own good, so I was probably mocking the models or something. And they have no faces. Now, here are some sketches I did today.



I don't think I mock the models anymore, I've been watching too much Project Runway, and some of them are outright gorgeous. They are not as anorexic as I remember them, and their height, their lanky arms, loooong legs are very interesting. Fun to draw too. Still a little on the abstract side, but its exaggeration I suppose.

Awww!! Thinking of better days.... :) It's been raining recently, and something about rain that .... umm, yes. I can go on for hours. X)

I was drawing this in class, and Amy finished it. :) She drew the table on the right. Why am I thinking about the Maya Lab during a lecture class? :(

Feather Hairpin

Inspiration from a song called "Missing" by Ellegarden, a Japanese rock band. One of the lines in the lyrics is "A hairpin with a feather."

So felt like drawing some girls with feathered hairpins. :)

Old Chinese Guy

I created him a year ago when I was in Animation A, and animated a short story around him all through Animation B. A semester later in my Character Animation class, I decided to bring him back. He's fun to animate. :)

so, I went to the mall the other day with a friend, and we stopped by the Apple store. I held the iphone in my hand... and... dear gawd...

The problem is, I heard it's an AT&T plan only... and I don't know if I want to switch. But that thing is still amazing!

Yeeeeess yes Megumi finally caved and got a blog. Mainly because I got too frustrated with trying to figure out godaddy. It only gives me five pages for what I paid for? And there's so much gunk on each page, I get lost trying to find certain things, like how to edit my main page using baisc HMTL. That's all I needed!!! Argh. I don't recommend godaddy.

Anyways, I'm still going to look for a new host place, because I plan to use my web site as my main portfolio, and this blog for nothing but sketches, things that I wouldn't put on a portfolio.

So yes. I hope to udpate pretty frequently with random sketches from my sketchbook. Stay tuned. (^^)
